The resulting classic John Coltrane Pablo album Afro Blue Impressions was originally released as a double LP in 1977 and finds the legendary saxophonist fronting a stellar quartet on both European dates that includes McCoy Tyner on piano, Jimmy Garrison on bass, and Elvin Jones on drums.
